Who we are!

After our second child, and many years in New York restaurants and bars (most notably the West Village standout, I Sodi) I decided to open a wine shop.  We started Parlour Wine and Spirits in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, taking over a space that had been a liquor store since the early 80s. After renovations and updating the inventory to reflect current trends, the shop is now a thriving part of neighborhood retail. 

We relocated to the Pacific Northwest in the summer of 2020 to be closer to family, and to give our kids a chance to experience the great outdoors activities in the area. We were always attracted to Madison Park for its vibrant neighborhood shopping experience, and we love swimming in the lake at summertime, so it made perfect sense to open a shop here when we found a cute brick building from the 1920s. 

Our aim is to work with wines from organic and estate fruits, so the folks doing the farming are doing the fermentation as well, with a close focus on quality throughout the process. We look for wines that are evocative of place, expressing varietal typicity and delivering a great experience.
